More than a meal.

No student should sit in class hungry. We serve hot, nutritious lunches with dignity — every student chooses what they eat, no questions asked.

Nutritious school lunches

Hot pizza meals built on Canada's Food Guide — whole-grain crust, lean proteins, fresh fruit, vegetables, and a snack. Students pick their own plate, preserving dignity and normalcy.

Mental wellness support

School board-approved speakers, pamphlets, videos, and wellness accessories alongside every meal — equipping students with tools to navigate mental health challenges now and later.

In loving memory

Pelumi's Pizza was founded by Yann Tihewessi in November 2025 in honour of his brother, Oluwapelumi Lateef — a young man studying to become a teacher who was patient, kind, and always made sure of the well-being of those around him.

Yann was himself a recipient of free school lunch programs growing up. He knows firsthand the stigma that can come with it. That's why at Pelumi's Pizza, every student picks their own meal — giving them freedom of choice and making them feel special.

Pelumi believed in education and in showing up for people. This program carries that belief forward, one lunch at a time.
